Getting Started – A Personal Consultation

Our expert solar consultants meet with clients, architects and builders to determine the best strategyfor installing a solar electric system.

1. Call Us at 970.963.1420

We will need some simple information to begin the evaluation including:

• Average electricity consumption. Ideally, gather a full year’s utility bills so we can  approximate usage for basic system sizing.
• Or, for a new home, gather inventory of the major electrical loads (a load is anything that uses electricity).
• The approximate orientation of your roof (i.e., south, southwest) and roof composition.

2. Schedule an Appointment for a Site Visit

A personal visit takes approximately 1-2 hours and gives you a chance to ask in-depth questions about solar electric, the installation process and financial incentives. You will be able to view demo equipment and learn what Sunsense has to offer. The Sunsense team evaluates the best location for the photovoltaic array and utility interconnection.

3. Review Proposal

Sunsense will prepare a custom system design and investment strategy based on the best solar solution for your needs.

4. Sign Contract

After you approve the design proposal, Sunsense will send you a contract to sign and return with a deposit payment.

5. Installation

Upon receiving your signedcontract and initial payment, the installation will be scheduled, equipment ordered, and the electrical permit pulled.

6. Inspection and Rebates

When the installation is complete, your system will be inspected by the electrical inspector and your utility company. Sunsense will schedule and attend all inspections. Following the inspection, your system will be up and running. Sunsense prepares the forms for rebates making it easy for you to complete the process.

7. Congratulations!
