Sunsense Solar Employees Earn NABCEP PV Installer Certification for Solar Electric

Sunsense Solar would like to congratulate Steven Haines, Andy Lietz, and Jes Sanderford for passing the NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) PV Installer (solar electric) certification test.  NABCEP Certification is the highest level of certification for solar professionals.  There are approximately (700) NABCEP Certified individuals in the United States and (70) in Colorado.  Sunsense Solar now has a total of four (4) NABCEP Certified PV Installers on its full time staff.

Locally owned and operated since 1990, Sunsense Solar designs and installs residential, commercial and community solar electric systems.  Founder Scott Ely has been involved in the solar electric and renewable energy industry since 1982. His goal with Sunsense is to operate a sustainable business that employs local professionals and contributes to the growing green economy. November 2008 – Sunsense Solar recognized as Business of the Year, Carbondale

The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce awarded Scott Ely, founder of Sunsense, with the award for Business of the Year and recognized some of the companies projects including CRMS solar farm, Carbondale Town Hall and the picnic shelter in Sopris Park.

Spring 2009 – SunSense and Habitat for Humanity, Rifle

Sunsense Solar will be inviting the public, volunteers and community members to view a photovoltaic panel installation.  In addition, a tour of the home will be given with emphasis on how PV electric, solar thermal and energy efficiency benefit homeowners.
