Certifications
Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (CoSEIA)
www.coseia.org
To obtain the “CoSEIA Certified” rating, individuals must pass a comprehensive test for active, and/or photovoltaic solar system maintenance, repair, and installation. Additionally, the “CoSEIA Certified” individual must take a minimum of 12 hours of CoSEIA sponsored or approved class work each year to maintain his/her certification. Look for the “CoSEIA Certified” rating to be assured of the highest quality services in Colorado’s solar industry.
North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP )
http://www.nabcep.org/pv_installer.cfm
The NABCEP PV installer certification is a voluntary certification that provides a set of national standards by which PV installers with skills and experience can distinguish themselves from their competition. Certification provides a measure of protection to the public by giving them a credential for judging the competency of practitioners.
