Dan Whitney, Solar Consultant
Our newest addition to the team, Dan hales fresh out of Boulder, Colorado, where he was born and raised. Dan is an avid kayaker, biker, skier, and snowboarder, and enjoys cooking things in his solar cooker when the sun comes out.
Dan sparked his interest in solar energy when playing with a magnifying glass on an ant hill at the tender age of 4. Since then, he’s been working to fulfill his dream of 100% solar living. He has manufactured and tested Photovoltaic devices while working to receive his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, focusing in Energy Systems and Material Sciences. Dan has designed and installed hundreds of Solar Electric systems in the Boulder/Denver area before turning-it-up 1000 feet and moving to Carbondale in the fall of 2009.
